Author of Easy Cook Plan

I am Rex, the guy behind Easy Cook Plan, now based in Malaysia. I have been cooking for most of my life at home and for a few years in a restaurant. Now, let me share how I became so passionate about cooking.

Over a decade ago, before the smartphone era, I arrived in Reno, Nevada, USA as an international student. I am not gonna tell exactly when, as it would expose my age. I had to live on a tight budget while studying at that time, so working was essential. My first job was with an event security company, where I spent my time chasing drunk people around casinos on New Year’s Eve. Sometimes, you will have a very quiet, snowy midnight, alone somewhere outdoors, where I don’t even have a clue where I am.

Well, that job lasted only a short time before I found another job in an all-you-can-eat American buffet restaurant, working as a food runner. The job scope was moving the food from point A, the chef/cook, to point b, the food station. That also did not last long either; I was fortunate to be promoted to cook at the same restaurant. Since then, I learned a lot of things, including how to plan food easily and cook the quickest way.

At this point, I became seriously interested in cooking, whether at a restaurant or home. My goal at Easy Cook Plan is to bring healthy food to many people, prepare them easily, and cook quickly. And, at the same time, enjoying the process. Hope Easy Cook Plan can help you in the journey to become a better home cook.
